Le Club toured for the first time in our short yet established history as we jumped on the Stella Express and travelled North on Friday where we were very well hosted by Myles Waud and the students of Loughborough University for our 2010 Autumn Meeting.
The tone was set very early on, where Messrs Waud and Mackie met at the Griffin, Shoreditch on Friday afternoon for a couple of looseners, and some beers - whilst the rest of the Le Club members kept the UKs economy afloat.
The 18.30 meet at The Betjeman Arms, St Pancras was obeyed by all. A brief outing to M&S to pick up the beers for the journey and we were all set to go.
The prestige of Le Club obviously precedes us, as on arrival in chilly Loughborough, we were greeted with a reserved area in a rammed Paget pub. As Le Club entered a packed student bar, there was a deadly silence, and then a ripple of applause and then cheers from the younger generation as they realised something very special was about to happen.
Much to the excitement of all Le Club members, it turned out that 18 jaegerbombs cost only £27. So tray after tray of jaegerbombs were drained, as more and more additions to the menacing drinking crowd started to surround Le Club and friends. At midnight, we moved to the student union, where the debauchery and reckless drinking carried on into the early hours.
Super Saturday arrived quicker than expected, and after a brief pit stop in Varsity for a fry up and bombadier, our President picked up 6 cases of Fosters and returned for the Heineken Cup all dayer back at The PlayBoy Mansion, 178 Ashby Road. Predictably the tone was lowered almost straight away, as every sentence barked contained 1 double entendre, and at least one 'more tea vicar'?
Our fabulous diet continued as £100s worth of dominoes pizzas arrived and were demolished at the mansion. The drinking and great banter continued long into the afternoon, until it was decided that the pace needed to up. We headed to The Unicorn for some more jaegerbombing, double vodka lemonades, and then some Le Club versus the rest strawpeedo boat races.
A trip to the infamous 'Echoes' was the form for the rest of Saturday evening - never have the Le Club colours stood out more, in what must be one of filthiest clubs in the country. It was very apparent that 'anything goes' in Echoes, as bottles were thrown, vks sprayed, and many young girls groped. Le Club fitted in seamlessly.
A mass outing to the Curry House followed at 2.30am, and then a small hardcore headed to a foul club called 'Rain', which really was an experience. Tweed & Somalian pirates really do not mix too well.
This clearly was one of the best Le Club meets so far - as the famous navy and yellow tie has now been exposed to the student world.
Well done to everyone that attended this truly fabulous weekend. (more congratulations go to the Le Club members that were able to commit / hack it for the whole weekend)
A big thank you to all of the PlayBoy Mansion lads for being such excellent hosts. Well played Mylo, Crossy, Wheeler, Scotty, Geoff and Dom for a most splendid weekend. All the Loughborough chicks played an excellent role as well - so cheers to Poppers, Ploughwright, Lash, Davies and Westall!

A final word from the Le Club President:
I think it is fair to say that we were not disappointed by this year’s awesome meeting! There were some seriously impressive displays of drinking and it took me until Thursday to feel human again!
The boys of the Playboy Mansion are a cracking breed of lashers, mixing sporting prowess with the alcoholic appetite of a middle aged Glaswegian woman. They were both welcoming and friendly, even to the point of sacrificing their beds for Le Club members.
My personal highlight was sitting in front of the rugby with the boys all day Saturday, drinking beers, bantering about women, cracking witty one-liners and generally being bloody lads! It was great to be back at uni and even better to feel idolised by the general public as we embarked on our weekend of alcoholic magic.
The Loughborough boys are an enviable group of friends and I hope to have the honour of sharing a beer with them again soon.
